Forest Camp is an outdoor adventure program for children, designed to foster leadership, adaptability, and self-esteem through a variety of activities.
The camp is designed for children ages 7 to 12 for Forest Campers and 13 to 15 for the Leadership and Adventure Program.
The camp runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday to Friday.
The complete summer program lasts for 6 weeks, starting on July 7 and ending on August 15.
The program consists of three modules: Survival, Emergency Response, and Mountain Sports.
The topics we will be covering this summer are: Fire Skills, Bushcraft Skills, Wilderness First Aid, Emergency Planning, Altitude Skills, and Guiding and Navigation.
We cover 3 modules over the course of 6 weeks. We recommend that campers take all the modules as this enhances their learning.
Yes, participants ages 13 to 15 have the opportunity to become Counselors in Training through this program. They will reinforce and develop the same skills as the Forest Campers but from a perspective that requires them to model by example, responsibility, and how to guide others.
We recommend that Forest Campers take their modules in full to master the knowledge; however, we do accommodate exceptions upon request.
Most activities are held at Scape Park, located within CapCana Destiny City.
Yes, campers will have the chance to interact with wildlife, including observing endemic animals, interacting with monkeys, and feeding iguanas.
We follow Child Nutrition and Cooking standards provided by Stanford University in 2022, focusing on homemade and healthy foods. Sodas and fried foods are prohibited in our program.
Our team is diverse and passionate, equipped with experience in neuro-education, mountain and altitude sports, wilderness first aid, and forest skills.
The camp emphasizes playful activities in natural settings, encouraging children to learn and explore while having fun.
The educational focus is on mountain sports, survival skills, and outdoor recreational activities.
Our goal is to develop leadership traits, adaptability, self-esteem, and reduce anxiety through adventure.
Specific visitation policies can be provided upon request, but generally, parents are encouraged to allow their children the opportunity to disconnect.
Yes, our staff is trained in wilderness first aid, and safety protocols are a priority in all activities. We have an ambulance and a doctor available on-site during all operational hours.
Registration details and forms can be found on our website.
Campers should bring appropriate outdoor clothing, water bottles, and any personal items they may need during their time at camp. A detailed packing list will be provided upon registration.
